The Buyel’Ekhaya ANNUAL ultimate Pan African Music Festival returns for the 6th time.
The festival takes place on Sunday, 21st December 2014 at Buffalo Cricket Stadium; with electrifying performances by Africa’s greatest musical exports; Congolese born Papa Wemba; the inspirational Zimbabwean born; Oliver Mtukudzi and South Africa’s very own Ray Phiri & Stimela and the iconic groove-masters , Trompies.
Buyel’Ekhaya continues to showcase the best of our talent and this year by public demand; the most highly sought-after Mafikizolo, Zahara and The Soil returns from global stages to set Buffalo City on fire once again.The dust will not settle until the hypnotic new fresh talent; guitarist Berita and the energetic outfit; Uhuru takes on the stage.
Ten years after her tragic death, in 2014 we find it fitting to pay tribute to the gone but not forgotten iconic and legendary Brenda Fassie; a true shining star to ever emerge out of the rural village of Indwe, close to Lady Frere in the Eastern Cape, the Home of Legends.
